littletree discovers...Artbox

For my Birthday the other week a friend of mine bought me this super cute notebook at an Artbox stand at Comic and Movie Con in London. She left the bag with the present, which is just as cute as the notebook, and so today I have finally gotten around to looking up their website. The main site is in Korea and only some of the information is in English, but the UK site is absolutely brilliant and pack full of cute stationary, stickers, sweets, clothing and accessories. So here is a round-up of my favourites...

                                                              A6 Notebooks by Noodoll

     Notebooks by Pool Cool

Super cute badges by Sugar Hotel

And finally a really small selection of the hundreds of things by Artbox themselves! Lovely notebooks, lettersets and some random bits and pieces, the elephant tape dispencer is a must for the desktop! And the best thing is that everything is really resonable with most notebooks only costing around £2! Phew...do pop by and have a browse but be warned you will need a cup of tea and a biscuit to sustain you while you look around and there is just so much to see!

Etsy...Restyleshop by Handz

Another fantastic Etsy shop! Restyleshop loves all things Scandinavian and mid-century modern which is represented in these lovely prints, my favourite is defiantly the Eames 'I like to rock' poster. There is also a hint of manly geek chic inspiration as shown in these Star Wars and Game Boy prints, perfect for the geek in your life! The designer behind all these little lovelies is Jan Skácelík, he has a really inspirational blog showing some of the most amazing interior spaces around and just a small obsession for pugs (cute!) Please pop along and have a look at Jan's stuff it really is amazing if you love mid-century style.

a mystery package...

Eeep! Look at what has arrived on my doorstep just a few moments ago...my cushion that I won in a giveaway from the lovely Virginia over at roddy&ginger! I LOVE IT! And I love all the little details such as the cute postcard (which I will pin up straight away!) and the handprinted tag with matching thread, it just makes the whole package a treat! Thank you so much Virginia! xxx

littletree discovers...retro tea and coffee set

Happy Friday to all! First I must say a big thank you to all of you that have been visiting my little blog recently, it really has made my week!
Now for the funkiest bargain of the century, this fantastic bright blue tea and coffee set! It's by Staffordshire Potteries here in the uk and the design is called Homestead, don't you just love the amazing colour? It makes me feel happy just looking at it! They are in perfect condition (despite being covered in grease and dust when I found them!) and the best part was when I open the sugar jar there were loads of old packets of sugar inside! Collected from various places across the world I particularly like the purple Russian packet with the green truck on the front. I love discovering little treasures like this and to think that someone has spent time collecting them, so for the time being I'm going to keep them in their little sugar house...

littletree loves...Adore Home Magazine Aug/Sept Issue

Image from Adore Home Magazine Blog
I think that this has been my favourite issue of Adore to date so far! I've just spent the last hour or so 'flicking' though it's virtual pages with a cup of tea and this issue just has something for everyone! One particular feature was on a fantastic design hotel in Athens called the Semiramis, I think my jaw literally dropped! When you see the pictures you will see why, it has defiantly shot to the top of my 'must visit' places in the world. Athens would be an amazing city to visit anyway but staying in such a hotel would really be the cherry on the cake! I wish I was lounging by that amazing multicoloured pool right now...book and drink in hand...anyway back to reality and this very wet thursday!

beautiful books...Pattern by Orla Kiely

I LOVE Orla Kiely! I suppose alot  of people do but I remember falling in love with her patterns years ago back when she only made bags. I was young at the time and therefore too poor to afford such a coveted bag but I still loved the retro patterns and colours, and a few years later I still don't have a bag but I now have the book, which holds every bag I could ever wish to own and more! Plus it has the added bonus of not having to actually decide which bag to use on a day to day basis! Apart from the beautiful pictures and pages of pattern the book is also full of really interesting info about Kiely herself. From her early childhood and inspirations to becoming a designer but also useful information on colour and pattern and how she combines them. I only received this book as a birthday present on sunday and I have not put it down, if you don't own this book and are an avid pattern lover then I urge you to get over to Amazon and pick up a copy immediately! I not then still pop over to her website to have a browse around and I'm sure you'll be hooked in no time. x
(ps. not sure why there is some weird spacing between the pics, it looks fine in the draft version!)

Etsy...farouche

Happy Friday to all! With all these grey days here in the uk I went in search of some bright inspirational prints this morning and came across the store Farouche on Etsy. I immediately fell in love with the 'Bright Sunshiny Day' print as it added some much needed sunshine into this grey day, but any of the lovely prints would brighten a dull wall! Plus don't you just love the way these images have been styled? Such cute little vintage knick-knacks! They also have a lovely blog with free printable goodies so check them out! Have a great weekend!
