Etsy Shop Now OPEN!

Wow three posts today! Just a quick one to say that I have just opened my very own Etsy shop! At the moment I'm selling my Christmas card designs that you may have seen here before...if not then please pop along for a browse! I'm only shipping to the UK for the time being, mainly due to it being so near Christmas I'm worried things won't arrive in time! I've also added links here on my blog to my Etsy shop so there is no excuse for not stopping by for a visit! x

And the Leibster Award goes to...

Ok...think I have made my decision on my 5 blogs to give the Leibster Award to, it's been a long process with endless cups of tea to see me through...so here we go...

1/ a little birdie told me... - Jen's blog is packed full of interiors loveliness and general design love!

2/ my deer friend - Illustrator Dawn Coopers blog with lots of pretty doodles and musings.

3/ the homely place - Nat's blog had plenty of inspiration for homes and her own designs.

4/ Mellybee - Melanie Chadwicks blog charting her recent projects and other goodies!

5/ Melanie Wickham Lino Prints - Says it all really! Anyone with the patience to lino print deserves an award in my eyes!

So guys all you need to do to accept the award is copy and paste the logo, thank the person that gave it to you (me!) and then pass it on to 5 other blogs you deem worthy! It has to be a blog that is up and coming with less than 200 members/followers - small blog love!

littletree's top 5 blogs...food blogs

Well it is indeed that time again, top 5 blogs time! This month I thought I would pick a selection of my favourite food blogs seeing as we are forever getting closer to the event of the season in which food does play a massive part! So I have chosen a few of my favourite pics of recipes from each blog to give you some sort of idea what each site is like and the kind of recipes that are there. My new fave is definitely Spoon Fork Bacon, for a start it has a fab blog title but also some amazing food, the Peanut Butter Popcorn Balls look great for party food and the Roasted Root Veg for Christmas day. If you crave something a little sweeter then Confessions of a Cookbook Queen is the place, packed with endless sweet treats all guaranteed to get you in the kitchen quick! To be honest all of these sites are amazing, beautiful recipes and really well styled they are a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach! Hope you find a new fave today, enjoy!x

a lovely surprise!

Now this post is a little late in coming but it's been a busy few days with throwing my party, starting my weekend job and my sisters birthday (phew!) but I have got here eventually! Now last week I ran a giveaway to win one of my magnetic advent calendars and the winner Fiona of just paint it white has awarded me with the Liebster Blog award! Not just because she won but because we are both pattern lovers and she thinks I have a lovely blog too...very flattered! So thank you Fiona!

Now there are a few rules that go with the award...I have to thank the person who gave it to me, then I have to pass it on to 5 other blogs that are up and coming with fewer than 200 followers and then request that they do the same and pass it forward! A little loop of blogging love....I do feel truly honoured as there are so many amazing blogs out there, so I am going to take my time today and pick my 5 to pass it on to as it's going to be a tough choice! Pop back soon to see the final 5!x

etsy gifts part 1...

Hello again! So you may remember the other week I did a week of posts about all the trimmings that go with Christmas, cards, wrap, decorations etc...yes? Anyway along the way I was of course bound to come across some amazing shops that I just had to share with you! Plus it might give a few people a last minute gift idea or two for someone out there...I am totally in love with everything in Little Miss Loolies shop, the Wellie Clips are such a genius idea for the regular festival go-er and I want the knitted jars and pouffes! Hint hint...mind you a cute necklace from Finest Imaginary or a welsh blanket lampshade from Peris & Corr wouldn't be unappreciated either! Have you discovered any Etsy gems whilst on the hunt for presents?x

littletree throws a party!

Hello Monday and hello everyone! Hope you had good weekends? I held a little party for friends and family Friday night to sell my cards and other goodies so I thought I'd share a few pics with you today! Apart from the cards which you have already seen I had my magnetic advent calendars, bunting small and large plus I made little decorations stamped with buttons and christmassy images all adorned with a little bell! I got a bit carried away with these as I still have loads left over! I also made spiced christmas cookies and a warm spiced apple drink which went down a treat! It was a great evening and a real celebration of how far I have come with everything this year, it really made me feel positive for my designs in the future so who knows what the new year will bring! So a big thank you to all my friends and family plus to all my readers here, I couldn't have done it without all of your kind words and support...Rebecca xxx

pinterest pick of the week...

It's that time of the week again...pinterest time! Now seeing as last week we didn't have pinterest Friday todays will be extra long AND christmassy! This weeks board is from jcv and is called Red and Aqua... I've seen a lot of this colour palette being used this christmas and I am a fan, I like the tradtitional red but the aqua really makes it pop and just feel a bit more modern and fresh. What are your thoughts on funky christmas colour palettes? Or are you for a more traditional theme? x

littletree loves...Caroline Gardener

Hello December! Day One of opening our advent calendar doors and seeing what's behind...whether its chocolate or a small present or just a picture I think advent calendars are pretty special, my Mum has a really old one from her childhood that she puts up every year! Plus this year I have my very own magnetic advent calendar to start building, which is super exciting! I've had this calendar by Caroline Gardener for the last 2 years so I can roughly remember what's behind a few doors but I'm hoping it will be with me for as long as my Mum's!

I saw the calendar in a local shop and just had to have it!! I loved the 12 days of Christmas theme and the way all the various animals and people are scattered through the trees so you have to try and find them all...anyway this got me thinking about what other Christmas goodies Caroline Gardener had to offer this year! I love her stuff in general, there's such a cute quirky vibe to the designs and I of course enjoy the mix and match fonts and bright colours...so today I thought I would share a few favourite picks from the current Christmas range. Enjoy!x

christmas card delivery!

How excited was I when these arrived on my doorstep yesterday?! The answer....Very!!! I ordered these from Moo a little over a week ago after I decided it would be easier and indeed cheaper to have them professionally printed rather than me sitting for hours on end watching my printer print 200 cards! This is why all the designs have white backgrounds, would have been easier on the printer ink! There are only 2 designs I'm not as happy with and that's because they were originally designed to be square so I had to jig the design around a bit to fit the specific size...I'm hoping Moo will offer square cards soon because otherwise I'm really pleased with the overall quality and service! They are designed to be paired together as shown below, apart from one which is completely different! What do you think? Would you be pleased to receive one of these cards? x
